( The look Emil gives him tells him that no, he does not know, but, )
Uh. Sure. ( Klaus has a brother who is an actual monkey. Go figure. His eyes go back to focusing on his nails, only a few left to be painted now. ) That bumps you up on the scale of sibling normalcy. Don't know if anything can beat a gorilla body.
[and to think, he hasn't even mentioned the fact his butler is a walking, talking chimpanzee or that their mother is a robot!
attention redirecting back to emil's remaining fingernails, his shoulders raise in an easygoing shrug,] Eh, you might be surprised. There's a lot of weirdness in my family. [swipe, swipe, pause.] Might depend on your definition of ‘weird?’ I dunno.
( He's already on weirdness overload, maybe save that for another feelings jam session. )
No, that's all very weird. I can't imagine the strangeness of the things I don't know about. ( Case in point. ) I don't really have anything interesting to share, definitely nothing that could top that. You already know how my world works, I'm pretty sure.
[putting the best robo-mom and monkey-dad on the backburner, then.]
Most of it, yeah. It's alright, I'm pretty much done anyhow. [he caps the polish, gestures toward emil's newly finished hand then leans forward and blows lightly on his fingernails, motioning again to show what he means when he says,] Do a little of that. Oh, and you're world does have a fair amount of weirdness.
( The hand is retracting, and Emil gives the fingertips a light blow before he waves his hand around for a moment. )
I suppose...I wouldn't say it's normal, by any means. It's just harder to divorce myself from it, I guess. ( What he lives with as an every day truth is hard to judge on a scale of what is so bizarre to him. Sure, his world is filled with dripping trolls and magic, but it also doesn't have gorilla-bodied family members and tentacle ghosts. ) I do know I'm not going to complain that this place is more boring.
( Asgard is so...quiet. There was that huge dragon, but that feels like such a blip on the radar now, what with how calm it's basically been since then. He'd still prefer to be home, but taking a break from the military, or traveling or just being around the potential for death in general...it's a decent vacation. )
[clicking his tongue and aiming a fingergun emil's way, he flashes a grin afterward then tosses the bottle into the nearby pile.]
Fair enough, I'd say. You're used to your world and I'm used to mine. [either way, they're in agreement with asgard being quiet. if he goes back home, what exactly is he going home to? the apocalypse? wherever the hell five's teleport lands them? nah, he'll take the easy-living of this place (and regret thinking that later on down the line).
dragon aside, everything else has been rather plain, almost even monotonous, but klaus can't complain about it.] Yeah, me either. I'll take peace and quiet over what's waiting for me back home.
